Twenty acres on historic Brice Creek — one of the most consistently productive gold creeks in the Bohemia District. Brice Creek drains directly from the Champion Mine country on Bohemia Mountain and has been producing placer gold for over a century. Now you can own a choice piece of it.

What sets this claim apart from most on the creek is the combination of accessible location, excellent parking, a comfortable camping area, and the presence of an ancient unworked bench deposit — virgin ground that has never seen a pan or sluice.

• ✦ Ancient Bench Deposit. There is an unworked bench deposit above the creek, just next to the camping site — visible in our photos. This is ancient creek bed, virgin ground that is slowly eroding into the creek below. They say gold is where you find it, and this is the kind of ground that gets serious prospectors excited.
• ✦ Excellent Camping. The claim sits on National Forest land, so you cannot claim exclusive use of the camping area, but it is a very nice established site approximately in the middle of the claim. It can be reached by a short foot trail or by an old access road that could be rehabilitated for ATV or cart access with minimal work.
• ✦ Outstanding Parking — Both Ends. One of the best parking situations we have seen on this creek. Ample parking at the central campground plus additional pull-offs at both the upstream and downstream ends of the claim. You have easy, independent access to the full stretch of creek on your claim.
• ✦ Paved Road All the Way In. The road is paved to the parking area — ideal for prospectors who can't navigate rough mountain roads, or for anyone who prefers not to risk their vehicle. This is genuinely uncommon in this country.
• ✦ Diverse, Workable Creek. In addition to the bench deposit, there are at least two excellent inside bends suitable for easy sluicing or high-banking, plus a rapids/pool section that may hold boil holes and other gold pockets. This area is known for fine gold, but nuggets have been pulled out. A creative miner could find a very nice pocket here.
