We believe this location was the secondary processing mill of the historic Champion Mine on Bohemia Mountain — the most productive mine in the entire district. There are extensive stamp mill foundations as well as substantial evidence of an assay office on site. This is an extraordinarily interesting property for the serious prospector or history-minded miner.

What Makes This Claim Special

✦ Champion Mine Tailings. The Champion Mine mill was the most productive site in the history of the entire district. This claim sits directly downhill from the primary mill, which processed tons of material. The secondary site further concentrated that material — and one thing is for sure: there are a substantial quantity of tailings on this property.
✦ Dry Virgin Creek Bed. We believe the old-timers redirected Day Creek for power or during reclamation. Several sections of dry, untouched creek bed remain — ground that has never been worked by modern equipment.
