Before You Write

Can I really visit before I buy?
Absolutely — and we encourage it. We'll send you a one-week access permit so you can spend time on the claim, do some panning, walk the boundaries, and sleep on it. We'd rather have a confident buyer than a reluctant one.
What equipment can I use on the claim?
Both claims are placer claims on BLM-managed land. Recreational equipment — gold pans, sluice boxes, highbankers, and small suction dredges — is generally permitted subject to current BLM and Oregon DEQ rules. We can walk you through what's currently allowed.
How does the lease-to-own option work exactly?
You pay $375 per year and have unlimited access to the claim. The balance ($2,500) can be paid in gold at the spot price plus 20%. For example, if gold is at $4,000/troy ounce, you'd need to deliver approximately 0.75 oz of gold. Once the balance is satisfied, the claim is transferred to you free and clear.
Are there annual maintenance fees after purchase?
Yes — all BLM placer claims require an annual maintenance fee (currently $200/year or small miner waiver) paid to the BLM to keep the claim active. This is separate from our sale price and is your responsibility after transfer. We'll make sure you're set up correctly.
I'm a complete beginner. Is this right for me?
Yes, with the right expectations. You don't need prior mining experience to own a claim — you need curiosity and a willingness to learn. Both claims have easy access and good camping, so you can take your time getting started. We're happy to share what we know about working these specific creeks.
Can I buy both claims?
Yes — if you're interested in acquiring both, let us know and we can discuss a package arrangement.
